The
Telluride Mountain Village is
a resort community set 1,000 feet
above the historic mining town of
Telluride.
Located on the northern edge of the
village’s town plan, this building is
comprised of three luxury
condominiums, retail space and a
parking garage under a shared roof.
With the understanding that a public
plaza would be located adjacent to the
project, the design took the direction
of two distinct massings with an open
passage in between. The result offers
plaza visitors and lodgers easy access
to stores and cafes with dramatic
views of the distant Rockies.
Care was taken in connecting the
complex to the town’s road network so
that the presence of traffic would be
eliminated from the pedestrian areas.
