Baker Residence
Santa Fe, New Mexico
1998

Located on a quiet residential street in Santa Fe’s historic east side, this compound relates to the adjacent small scale, architecturally diverse homes. Designed for an internationally known photographer, the Territorial style Main House including a state of the art photography studio, is of straw bale construction. Along with the Spanish Pueblo style Guest House and Garage, it forms a private courtyard anchored by mature shade trees and is extensively landscaped with native vegetation.

The design was voted the 2001
Historic Preservation Award by the
City of Santa Fe.
