After
extensive public meetings, the following major issues were defined and then
addressed in the plan:
• The impact of extensive non-residential uses in
the traditional community of Tesuque.
• The impact of large-scale, non-residential uses in
the US 84/285 highway corridor.
• The environmental and visual impact of
development along the river and on the ridge
tops and side slopes in the Tesuque Valley.
• The determination of the need for community
water and sanitary sewers to prevent further
ground water contamination.
• The establishment of a comprehensive trail
network including preservation of historic trails
Projects.
